why do we need to post our thoughts out into the ether? why do we need to have our thoughts outside our body? put something into a book? write things down? what are the chances that any of it will survive anyways? imagine you keep your life on a hard drive. when you pass on somebody comes along and reformats it. tosses it in the trash. along with that book you wrote your thoughts on life.

i really can’t decide what to think about this. i have a friendster friend who passed on. his account is still alive though and sends me birthday reminders every year. should somebody tell friendster that he’s not going to be logging in any time soon? or is somebody logging into his account to keep it up as a memorial?

i imagine that my websites will be erased as soon as the bill is not paid. there will be a short window where they will try and collect some $. then a short time when the domain name will be locked. but eventually my name will be up for sale. what ever i’ve accomplished may be recorded in the big google database. and that’s how i’ll live on.
